East River Esplanade - Pier 35

Pier 35 along the East River Esplanade is a unique habitat restoration project.  The sloping, multi-angled screened structure will eventually be fully covered in foliage creating a green wall.  This wall not only provides habitats, but also moderates the air temperature and hides a sanitation building on the neighbouring pier.  The canopy and swings create a beautiful space for residents and tourists alike!
